This exhibition is the stuff of legends – literally! With help from Adelaide Festival Centre’s centrED program, students from Salisbury East High School and Craigmore High School delved into their family history to create felt tableaus, tapestries, stuffed talismans and inky creatures from myths, legends, and folktales from their ancestry. With the help of SA textile artist Caitlin Bowe, all artwork in this exhibition is created by, and for, South Aussie kids.

Adelaide Multicultural Eid Festival returns two family friendly celebrations

The Adelaide Multicultural Eid Festival will consist of two festivals at the Adelaide Showgrounds, the first of which is taking place on 14-15 May in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr; the first Islamic holiday which celebrates the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. Attendees can expect a weekend filled with family-friendly entertainment with a variety of rides, clothing stalls, stage shows, sports activities, public speakers, international cuisines, a fireworks show on the Sunday night and the chance to experience the cultures of many different countries.
