Emma Watkins is back with a brand-new children's series coming to ABC Kids. Emma's Dance Club follows four kids who discover that learning to dance is a little bit of magic and a whole lot of fun.

Emma Watkins is returning to Australian screens with a brand-new children’s series, Emma’s Dance Club, set to air on ABC Kids and ABC iview in 2027.

Produced by Wooden Horse and Apricot Sea, and supported by Screen Australia and Screen NSW, the live action series is set in the fictional country town of Spudson, where Emma debuts a new dance club that becomes a hub for four local kids: future Prime Minister Madi, lovable wallflower Milo, clumsy pocket-rocket Albie, and energetic style-queen Chika.

As the series unfolds, the dance club becomes a community gathering place where the kids — and sometimes the grown-ups — work through life’s ups and downs together.

Emma Watkins said bringing the series to life had been an absolute privilege, describing it as a vibrant, joyful world centred on movement, friendship and genuine connection, created with love for children and families everywhere.

The series is directed by Guy Edmonds and Shari Sebbens, with ABC Head of Children & Family Melinda Wearne saying the show celebrates the joys of dancing, friendship and community, and will have audiences twirling, tapping and twisting their daily dilemmas away.

Emma’s Dance Club will premiere on ABC Kids and ABC iview in 2027.
