Dinner, sorted with JNR Food Co

Juggling school runs, after-school activities and the never-ending laundry pile leaves little time to whip up a nutritious dinner every night. If you’ve ever found yourself Googling “quick healthy kids’ meals” at 5:30pm while staring blankly into the fridge, you’re not alone. That exact challenge is what inspired Adelaide mum Danielle Elia to launch JNR Food Co, a South Australian led brand on a mission to take the pressure off parents, without compromising on quality or nutrition.

Danielle’s youngest son was diagnosed with a severe skin condition, Urticaria, when he was a toddler. Determined to support his health through clean, wholesome eating, she began researching how real food could make a difference. The result is a range of dietitian approved ready-made kids’ meals made from real ingredients, with no preservatives, additives or added sugar… just nourishing food kids actually want to eat.

A bowl of food sits next to a box labeled "jnr," suggesting a meal or snack for a child.

Created by mums and loved by families, JNR Food Co’s core range includes favourites like butter chicken, chicken fried rice and spaghetti bolognese (with hidden veg, lentils and hemp seeds). All meals are cooked in small batches, snap-frozen to lock in nutrients and flavour, and delivered straight to your door. Think of them as your weeknight backup plan, for those burnt dinners, sick days, school holidays or even packed lunches.

Backing Danielle’s vision is paediatric dietitian and fellow mum-of-three Anna Ritan of Nourish Little Lives, who collaborated closely with JNR Food Co to develop the recipes. “As a paediatric dietitian, nutritionist and busy mum,” Anna says, “I know how important it is to find meals that are both nutritious and kid-approved. That’s why I’m proud to partner with JNR Food Co.

The ever-growing range now includes six core kids’ meals, lunchbox snacks, and frozen meals for the whole family, with gluten-free, dairy-free and plant-based options also available.

Now delivering across SA, VIC and Sydney (with more states on the way), JNR Food Co is fast becoming a go-to for families looking for mealtime solutions they can trust. Because feeding your kids well shouldn’t be another thing to stress about.
