One of Adelaide’s most iconic bakeries, Perryman’s Bakery, is turning 100 - and they’re marking the milestone with a community Family Day Party at its Tynte Street store on Saturday, 11 October 2025. To celebrate, we've taste-tested the best of Perryman's treats for kiddos and here are the tastiest top 5!

1. Chocolate Donut with Sprinkles

Starting off strong – this one is bright, cheerful and coated in chocolate with a rainbow scatter of sprinkles! Our Chocolate Donut with Sprinkles is fun, sweet and the perfect treat to enjoy after a morning outing.

2. Beef Mince Pie – Lunchtime, Regular or Family Size

Meat pie

This pie is big in flavour and comes in three sizes. Our Lunchtime Pie is perfect for little mouths or a morning tea snack; our regular size will fulfill those midday lunch cravings; and if you don’t feel like cooking tonight, take home a family plate from our ‘Perryman’s at Home’ range.

Made with locally sourced beef, slow-cooked in a rich, savoury gravy and wrapped in golden, flaky pastry, these pies are the perfect comfort food.

3. Custard Tart

Custard tart.

Smooth vanilla custard nestled in buttery shortcrust pastry, finished with a sprinkle of nutmeg. Our Custard Tart is just the right size for smaller hands (and tummies). Classic, comforting and always a winner at Perryman’s.

4. Cheese & Veggie Pasty

Cheese + veggie pasty

For parents wanting something wholesome but still fun, our Cheese & Veggie Pasty is a winner. Packed with a tasty mix of veggies and the perfect amount of gooey, melted cheese, they’re wrapped in our famous flaky pastry and baked until golden. Nutritious yet comforting, they’re proof that “veggies” and “treat” can go hand in hand.

5. Chocolate Cupcake
