KickStart for Kids has teamed up with SkyCity Adelaide to host its highly anticipated Annual Period Poverty Fundraiser at the stunning Sol Rooftop venue.

The KickStart for Kids Against Period Poverty initiative, which started in 2021, aims to help raise awareness and provide support to young South Australian girls struggling with period poverty. This often-overlooked issue can seriously impact girls’ education, and KickStart for Kids is doing something about it.

The program now delivers more than 1200 packs of essential sanitary items to more than 200 schools every month! Each pack includes the menstrual products that allow young women to go to school with dignity, even when they’re on their period. And with demand growing, KickStart is determined to keep up the fight to make sure no girl misses out on an education just because of period poverty.

Bec Morse, media personality and KickStart for Kids ambassador, will return as the emcee for this must-attend event. She says, “The reality is that many girls in South Australia miss school simply because they can’t afford basic products such as pads and tampons. The work KickStart for Kids is doing is vital, but we need continued support to reach more schools.”

The fundraiser will feature a fashion parade, inspiring speakers, live music, and a silent auction. Tickets include a three-hour drinks package and canapés, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the cause!
