Tumble Down the Rabbit Hole: Alice in Wonderland Comes to the Adelaide Hills

Hills Youth Theatre is celebrating 40 wild, glitter-filled, heart-bursting years of youth theatre in the Adelaide Hills – and to mark this very mad milestone, we’re heading back to Wonderland.

First staged by HYT in 1989, then in 1997, ALICE returns in 2026 with a brand new generation of curious kids, chaotic creatures and wonderfully weird Wonderland locals.

ALICE: We’re All Mad Here will tumble onto the stage at Stirling Community Theatre for six performances only, from 19–28 June 2026.

Jump into the rabbit hole.

A very anxious White Rabbit, A slightly mad tea party crew, A not-so-scary Dormouse and A Queen of Hearts who might just let you leave with your heads!

This magical fairytale adventure, inspired by one of Lewis Caroll’s most loved classic stories, will be brought to life by over 100 young performers from across the Adelaide Hills – all singing, all acting, all utterly unforgettable.

Expect giant laughs, tiny doors, riddles, nonsense, croquet, chaos and a whole lot of heart as we turn Stirling Community Theatre into a Wonderland of our very own.
