From Saturday 30 March until Monday 1 April, over 60 local SA vendors will set up their beautiful stalls for Gathered Design Market on the same site as the Gathered store on Hahndorf’s Main Street.
Gathered Design Market is an opportunity to enjoy an immersive weekend of retail, food and beverage, while making the most of the long weekend during one of Hahndorf’s busiest trading periods.
The Market held in Hahndorf last Christmas helped several small business stallholders hit record weekend sales, an achievement that is at the forefront of Gathered founder Jenna O’Dell’s mind as she hosts the market for the Easter weekend.
“We had so many families, locals, tourists and visitors walk through our Christmas market, and so much exposure for our small business stallholders, many of who either achieved record sales or sold out of their product,” Jenna says.
“To have hosted our biggest market at our permanent home in Hahndorf is so special and I’m hoping we have a similar outcome from this year’s Easter market,” she says.
Gathered permanent bricks-and-mortar location opened last August to exclusively showcase South Australian makers with everything from jewellery, candles, homewares to baked goods and spirits that are sold from the store’s cafe and bar area.
Gathered is also excited to host returning vendors to the markets including Chatterbox City with their designer wheat free heat/cold packs, Salt Gang with their range of crispy handmade chillies, fermented honey and other condiments, as well as Picnic Mantra with their luxe bohemian inspired rugs, throws and cushions, just to name a few.
Returning food vendors include Crushes who sold out quickly during the Christmas market with their choc-covered strawberries using locally sourced berries and a flowing tap of premium Belgian chocolate; as well as different cuisines from local producers including Gozleme, Paella, Filipino BBQ, Turkish burgers and Latin American desserts.
It’s the perfect excuse to visit Hahndorf if you aren’t local, or if you are to get out and about and support local while spending time with family or friends over the long weekend.
Gathered Easter Design Market will be held on the same site as Gathered’s bricks-andmortar store, 102 Mount Barker Road from 12 6pm on Saturday 30 March and Sunday 31 March and from 10am-4pm on Monday 1 April. Entry is $3 with part proceeds donated to Love Out Loud.
