Australia’s going bananas for this South Aussie bakery’s pies and pasties!

There’s big news baking in the world of pastry — and it’s coming straight out of the oven with a golden glow at Belair's Banana Boogie Bakery.

The Banana Boogie team took home not one, but TWO top awards at this year’s National Pie & Pastie Competition — and one of the winners is a young baking legend in the making!

Apprentice superstar Lauren won the title of Best Apprentice Meat Pie in Australia — a seriously tasty achievement and an epic moment for her and the whole team.

The judges also went bananas for the team’s tasty pastie, which scored the award for Best Gourmet Pastie in Australia with the fan-favourite Chicken Tuscan Pastie.

The Chicken Tuscan Pastie win was the cherry (or should we say chicken?) on top! After heaps of hard work fine-tuning every flavour and fold, the judges agreed — this pastie is a gourmet winner.

Lauren’s award is especially exciting, as it shines a spotlight on the amazing young talent coming into the baking world. It’s no easy task crafting a top-notch meat pie, but she’s nailed it with skill, creativity and a whole lot of heart.

“We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved – and even prouder of the incredible young talent coming through the industry,” says Banana Boogie.

From flaky pastry to mouth-watering fillings, every bite is made with care by a team that’s passionate about quality and proud of their creations.
