Winter wonderland is back in Glenelg this year!

Winter Wonderland Glenelg
Brush off the winter blues, strap on your skates and enjoy beachside ice skating – and a special fireworks display - at Winter Wonderland Glenelg this July!

Our fave Winter event is blowing in like the wind from the North Mountain! Yep, that’s right, rug up for that icy blast because Winter Wonderland will be set up in Moseley Square, Glenelg for the entire month of July.

With daily, one-hour ice skating sessions kicking off on Friday 1 July under a marquee, there will be more fun than you can imagine for kids and families.

On weekdays, kids can take to the ice at 10am and take part in various ice games including limbo, basket shooting and mini ice hockey.

And on weekends, at 7pm and 8.30pm, the ice rink will become a dance floor for the Retro Skate sessions, with music from the 80s and 90s, disco lights and a snow-making machine.

Special fireworks display

To add a bit of sparkle to the event, a special fireworks display will be held for one night only on Friday 8 July (or Saturday 9 July if the weather is unsuitable on the Friday). Wear your winter woollies and watch the display from the Glenelg Foreshore at 8.15pm!

Once the skating has wrapped up on Monday 25 July, the marquee will host a weekend of winter markets on 30-31 July, from 10am to 4pm. The market stalls will be curated by Gilles on the Ground with live entertainment and room to kick back and relax.
