One of McLaren Vale’s most loved family events returns this March as the Twilight Food Affair brings together international street food, local wine, carnival rides, live music and fireworks for a relaxed twilight celebration at Tatachilla Lutheran College.

The countdown is officially on for one of the southern vales’ most anticipated community events, with Tatachilla Lutheran College preparing to host the 2026 Twilight Food Affair on Friday 20 March.

Now firmly established as one of the largest family-friendly events in the McLaren Vale region, the Twilight Food Affair attracts more than 4,000 guests annually — bringing together families, friends and neighbours for an evening of food, music and connection in a relaxed vineyard setting.

Held on the college’s picturesque grounds, the event transforms the junior school oval into a vibrant festival hub, featuring an expanded international food truck line-up, carnival rides, live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display at 9:00pm.

A global feast in vineyard country

This year’s food offering is the biggest and most diverse yet, with not less than 19 food trucks serving flavours from across the globe.

From Spanish paella to Sri Lankan street food, Sicilian arancine to Greek souvlaki, woodfired pizza to Dutch stroopwafels, there is something for every palate.

Food vendors for 2026 include:

  • Santopalato
  • Baltic Fine Food
  • TaCHs Stroopwafels
  • Ninin’s Indo Street Food
  • Taco Cartel
  • Friwi Crêpes & Co
  • Bao Plus
  • Little Island Sri Lankan Street Food
  • Orexi – Home of the Greek Souvlaki
  • Liquid Delights
  • Chimichurri Grill
  • Miss Dagwood Dog Adelaide
  • Wild Woodfired Pizza
  • Spinning Spuds
  • Chocolique
  • Slice Slice Baby
  • Fairy Floss Galore
  • Carlito’s Paella
  • Little Acre Foods

The Twilight Food Affair continues to grow each year because it reflects what local families value most: safe spaces for children to play, opportunities for parents to relax and connect, and the chance to celebrate outdoors before the close of Daylight Saving and the full onset of autumn.

An event with history

What began nearly three decades ago as a modest “Farm Day” fundraiser has evolved into a major regional celebration of food and family.

Today, the Twilight Food Affair is the largest event on the Tatachilla calendar and a highlight for many families across McLaren Vale and surrounding suburbs.

The 2026 Twilight Food Affair promises to be another memorable evening in the heart of vineyard country. Families are encouraged to bring picnic rugs, gather friends and arrive early to enjoy the full festival experience.
