If you are looking for the ultimate school holiday activity in Adelaide these April school holidays, Wilbur’s Wildlife Discovery Centre is popping up at Westfield West Lakes, and it’s set to be an adventure the whole family will love.

Get up close with Australia’s native animals
At the heart of the experience is an interactive 30-minute native animal encounter where kids (and grown-ups) can get hands-on with some of Australia’s most fascinating creatures. Pat and hold a range of snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs and more in a safe, guided environment, perfect for little nature lovers and budding wildlife enthusiasts.
New for April 2026, the animal display has expanded to showcase 20 species of native Australian animals, including snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, insects and small mammals. It’s bigger and better than ever.

Explore the play zone
After the animal encounter, families can head into the play zone where kids can step into the role of a zookeeper, become a vet or explore the dinosaur excavation zone. There is also a fun six-hole mini golf course for the whole family to enjoy.
Also new for April 2026, the play zone now includes a builder experience where kids can design and create their own zoo, adding a creative and hands-on element to the adventure.
