Get ready for a dino-tastic adventure at Adelaide Zoo this winter! The zoo is host to Illuminate Adelaide event, Universal Kingdom: Prehistoric Nights, where you can experience the wonder and excitement of the prehistoric era after dark.

Immerse yourself in an enchanting world designed by the acclaimed creative studios Erth and A Blanck Canvas. Experience cutting-edge puppetry, custom installations, and a vibrant display of light and colour. Stroll among floating Biolumes, watch playful Plesiosaurs with their young, and encounter the fearsome Megaraptor, an Australian predator with razor-sharp teeth.

Warm up with a selection of delicious food and drinks available at various stalls throughout the zoo. From hot chocolate to hearty winter fare, there’s something to satisfy every craving.

Prehistoric Nights runs Thursday to Sunday evenings until 21st of July, 2024. Be sure to book your tickets in advance as this popular event is expected to sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased online through the Adelaide Zoo website.

The Wilbur’s Wildlife Discovery Centre is the ultimate animal experience allowing you to pat and hold a range of snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, possums and more. For just $10 a ticket, kids can enjoy a live Wildlife Show (yes, they can hold a snake!), and step into the world of zookeepers, vets and dinosaurs in the hands-on Activity Zone. It’s the perfect mix of fun, learning and animal adventures. New for the summer school holidays is a 6 hole mini golf course and keep an eye out for the dinosaur puppet roaming the centre.
