Oz Comic-Con is returning to Adelaide with the ultimate showcase of pop culture

Adelaide, it’s time to don your capes, rally your super crew and mask up for an epic weekend of pop culture no matter what fandom you belong to. Oz Comic-Con is coming, in what will be the first Adelaide-based event since 2017.

Whether it was Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprising their roles of Spider-Man or Ewan McGregor stepping back into the mindset of Obi-Wan Kenobi, there’s no denying that the past year has witnessed some long-awaited returns.

With that in mind, Oz Comic-Con have announced their return to South Australia, welcoming Adelaidian pop culture fans with arms wide open for their first Adelaide-based event since 2017.

Taking over the Adelaide Showgrounds on May 21 and 22, Oz Comic-Con’s Homegrown format will feature a plethora of local guests and state-based content alongside a showfloor bursting with exciting opportunities.

Oz Comic-Con has also announced their partnership with the Australian Esports League (AEL) for their gaming zone, which will offer various opportunities for keen gamers to battle it out against their friends and members of the community.

This will join staple event pillars including Cosplay Central, Artist Alley, Tabletop Gaming, two stages, and more, alongside a lineup of guests from film and television who will be engaging in a range of photo and autograph sessions throughout the weekend.

With a jam-packed schedule full of stalls, workshops and activities, attendees can expect appearances from local creators, comic artists, gaming and freeplay opportunities, industry talks and panels and exclusive merchandise that can’t be found anywhere else.

Adelaide… you’ve been heard loud and clear. It’s time to don your capes, rally your super crew and mask up for an epic weekend of pop culture no matter what fandom you belong to.
