Take #mumsnightout plans off the Group Chat and into Adelaide Fringe

We've got five fun ideas for #mumsnightout this festival season for all tastes and locations.

WORDS: Claire Curry

Adelaide’s favourite time of year is here and we think its the perfect time to plan a night out with your favourite mates or Mum friends. You’ve got the kids settled into a new school year, so treat yourselves to some laughs, songs and even perhaps a bit of risque business.

We’ve scoured the Adelaide Fringe guide for a variety of shows, so all you have to do is pick one and then ping! the group chat.

Burlesquemania

The mash up you didn’t know you needed in your life! Wrestlemania, the 80s and burlesque.

Watch this casting call to see who will climb the ladder match to success, and who will have their sashes and hopes dashed against the ropes. Ass-els will be worn. Tassels will be torn. These may be some of the best butts in the business… but they’re about to get their asses kicked!

Dress it up in your best 80’s get up, wrestling robe or burlesque gown for your chance to win the coveted costume crown!

Intolerant

Perhaps a little left-field, but we’re aware lots of people are navigating food intolerances, both personally and via our kids’ experiences.  Sometimes it helps to work through this with a dose of humour…. Enter Uma Dobia and her playful cabaret, ‘Intolerant’ Uma uses her genre-hopping vocal, storytelling and comedic skills to confront her obsessions with chocolate and popcorn, the difficulties of explaining your allergies at dinner parties, and how to date without having an allergic reaction to semen (yes, really).
