Bonjour, Adelaide! The Bastille Festival is coming to town

A man in a red hat and shirt sells French food at a market stall.
Get ready for croissants, cancan dancing and loads of cheesy fun because the Bastille Festival (yep, the big French one from Sydney!) is packing up its baguettes and heading to Adelaide for the first time ever!

From Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June 2025, Festival Plaza is turning into a mini French village, bursting with delicious food, bubbly drinks, music, dancing, art and more – and the best part? Entry is totally FREE!

There’s something for the WHOLE family! Think free live performances for everyone, sweet French treats for kids and wine and gourmet French food for adults.

Sounds amazing, right? Let’s take a little peek at what’s in store…

FRENCH FOODIE FUN

More than 30 tasty food stalls will be serving up French faves all weekend long – we’re talking melty raclette cheese, fluffy golden crepes, fancy pastries, and soooo much more. It’s like stepping into a Parisian market, without even needing your passport!

WINE PASSPORT ADVENTURE

For the grown-ups tagging along, there’s a Bastille Wine Walk with wines from five legendary French regions – like Bordeaux and Provence. They’ll get a special wine glass and a “French passport” to explore the best drops France has to offer!

FOOD PASSPORT TOO!

And guess what? There’s a Food Passport too – a fun way to snack your way through five French foodie regions. Buy your passport stamped at each stop and try mouth-watering bites, paired with just the right wine for the ultimate flavour party!

FIRE PITS & TOASTY TREATS

Winter can’t stop the fun! Book a fire pit experience with your mates. Huddle around a crackling fire pit, sip warm mulled wine, munch on market snacks and toast marshmallows – all with a sprinkle of French flair!

FREE SHOWS GALORE!

There’ll be more than 40 FREE live performances throughout the festival. Think: street artists, DJs, circus tricks, magicians, cabaret, fire twirlers, and even some fancy French fashion and jewellery stalls. It’s a party for all your senses!

JOIN THE FRENCHY FUN!

Whether you’re there for the food, the fancy art, the wine, or just to boogie to some French beats, this is one festival you don’t want to miss!
