Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival Returns with family fun

Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival
Australia’s biggest celebration of beer, fire cooking and live music returns to Adelaide Showground in July with promise of fun for the whole family on Sunday 14th of May.

The Adelaide Showground is set to come alive once again this winter as the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival returns with a bang from 12th – 14th of July, 2024, with a family and dog friendly session on Sunday 14th of July. Amidst the challenges facing Australian music festivals and events, this celebration of beer, fire cooking, and live music promises to be stronger than ever, offering an eclectic lineup catering to all.

Headlining the festival’s family and dog-friendly session is none other than the beloved Peter Combe and his Newspaper Mama Band. Combe, an iconic figure in children’s entertainment, will bring joy to kids young and old with his catchy tunes and infectious energy.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. The festival boasts an action-packed weekend filled with live music, the largest lineup of barbecue offerings ever assembled, and a curated selection of beers from near and far. Families can expect an unforgettable experience as they explore the various activities and performances on offer.

For music lovers, the festival presents some of the biggest legends of Australian music, including the Australian Rock Collective (ARC), Bad // Dreems & Friends, and a host of emerging musical acts across four live music stages. From rock to punk to folk, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Meanwhile, foodies will be delighted by the extensive BBQ lineup featuring culinary delights from across Australia and beyond. From US low’n’slow by Carolina Smoke to Argentina’s Señor BBQ, there’s no shortage of mouthwatering options to satisfy every palate.

And for those looking to learn more about the beer industry, the festival offers masterclasses and debates with some of the industry’s best and brightest minds, including ABBF’s inaugural Beer Ambassador, Ryan Davidson.

Co-Director of Beer & BBQ Festival, Aaron Sandow, expresses the festival’s mission to support the struggling industries: “‘Ale We Need Is Love’ is more than just a motto; it’s a rallying cry for the community to come out and be our best selves together, arm in arm and beer in hand.”

With the support of the South Australian Government’s Music Development Office, the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival stands as a testament to the resilience and talent of the state’s festivals, live music, craft beer, and hospitality industries.

So, mark your calendars and join Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival at the Adelaide Showground for a weekend of unforgettable experiences, where beer, BBQ, music, and entertainment come together to create memories that will last a lifetime.
