How to Turn Anxiety into Wellbeing – A Free Community Evening at St Raphael’s School

Who is looking after the adults?

St Raphael’s School, Parkside is hosting a free, warm and practical evening on Wednesday 9 September, 6:30–8:00pm, designed to support the mental health and wellbeing of parents, carers and educators, because when adults model calm and healthy emotional regulation, children are more likely to follow.

This is not another parenting lecture. It’s a chance to pause, breathe and pick up simple, real-world tools to help you recognise and manage anxiety in yourself, strategies you can use at home, at work and during those inevitable stressful parenting moments.

The evening features an expert panel spanning psychology, family support, occupational therapy, education and child and adolescent mental health, including paediatric psychologist Dr Terence Sheppard, occupational therapist Eleanor White, and St Raphael’s Principal Emma Fowler, named 2026 Australian Education Awards Primary School Principal of the Year.

Free childcare is available on the night, so you can truly make the evening your own.

Suitable for parents, carers, educators and anyone in the wider community who wants practical support for their own wellbeing. Places may be limited, register today via the St Raphael’s School event webpage.
