Take Mum to the theatre

Two women sit against a yellow background as tomatoes fly through the air around them.

This Mother’s Day, why not swap flowers for theatre tickets and share a powerful story across generations? The iconic Australian coming-of-age novel Looking for Alibrandi is taking centre stage in Adelaide in 2025, offering the perfect outing for mums and mother figures who love a heartfelt tale.

Set in the 1990s, the story follows 17-year-old Josephine Alibrandi in her final year of school. She’s ready to chase her future—but first, she must navigate life with her strong-willed Nonna and her protective Mum, both shaped by the traditions and secrets of the past.
