Did you know that around one in two women giving birth each year in South Australia need critical help? Many of these mums face challenges like poverty, homelessness, mental health struggles, and isolation.
For these mums, everyday things like nappies, baby wraps, and baby wash are hard to come by. That’s where The Village Co. comes in to provide care packs full of these essential items, along with emotional support, to help mums through this difficult time.
The team’s big goal this year is to support 2,800 vulnerable mums in South Australia.
How you can help
This International Women’s Day (Saturday, 8 March), here’s how you can make a difference:
- Donate $28 – Your donation will help fill a care pack and provide support to mums in need.
- Donate $150 – This will provide a full care pack for one mum and her newborn.
- Set up a monthly donation – For as little as $28 a month, you can support mums year-round, helping us sustain this vital work.
- Host Your Own IWD Event – Why not organise a fundraiser or event to support vulnerable mums in South Australia? Host a morning tea, a casual lunch, or even a dress-up day (wear purple!). Ask guests to donate $28 to contribute to a care pack, or $150 for a full support pack.
Every dollar will help The Village Co. reach its goal of supporting 2,800 women this year!
