Join Windmill Theatre’s first ever Little Board!

Windmill Theatre Company is calling on students from Years 5 to 10 to become part of something exciting with the launch of the Little Board.

This new advisory group will offer young people the chance to share fresh ideas and help shape the theatre’s activities and programs. Through weekly sessions at Windmill’s offices, members will work closely with staff and artists, gaining valuable experience in leadership, theatre-making, and storytelling.

“We want to give young people the opportunity to influence the work created for them,” says Clare Watson, Windmill’s Artistic Director.

“This is about bringing together the most imaginative, creative, and adventurous kids in Adelaide, and giving them the chance to push their ideas and have fun while doing it!”

Sessions will take place every Thursday from 4:30pm–6pm (excluding the last week of term and school holidays) at Windmill’s office on Level 2/39, Light Square, Adelaide.

There are 12 spots available, with one member appointed as the Little Board Chair by Windmill.

Each session will be led and supervised by a member of the Windmill team or a professional theatre maker, all of whom have a valid Working with Children Check.

Applications are open now and will close on 10 March 2025.

To apply, head to the Windmill website to check if you’re eligible by reading the FAQ, then complete the online form and upload a short video (1–2 minutes maximum) as instructed!
