Adelaide Fringe Review: Mario the Maker Magician

FAMILY-FRIENDLY ADELAIDE FRINGE REVIEW: KIDDO reviewer, Lucy, took her kiddos to see the best kids magician in the world, Mario the Maker Magician, at Adelaide Fringe.

WORDS: Lucy C. Budzynska

On Sunday afternoon we took our kiddos to Mario the Maker Magician’s show at The Roundhouse at The Garden of Unearthly Delights for Adelaide Fringe. We can confidently say it was an hour well spent in a world of vaudeville and magic, cardboard and robots, science, and innovation. Both kiddos were engaged and entertained by Mario the whole way through!

From the moment Mario burst onto the stage with his infectious energy and engaging antics, he had the young audience and their families captivated. Mario is undeniably a talented entertainer who effortlessly connected with the audience, eliciting enthusiastic participation throughout the entire show. Kids were eagerly shouting out answers and jumping with excitement, desperate to join him on stage with his clever robots and magical tricks.

One of the highlights of the show was Mario’s storytelling, where we learned about his favorite school teacher who not only introduced him to famous scientists but also shared valuable life lessons. This personal touch added depth to the performance and resonated with both children and adults alike. Both my husband and I were taken by surprise at how touching and inspiring Mario the Maker Magician was. We’ve been repeating ever since the positive take home messages Mario shared during the show!

Mario’s creations, both in the form of robots and magical illusions, were nothing short of spectacular. His ability to involve both children and adults in various tricks showcased his skill in keeping everyone entertained and engaged. The laughter-filled afternoon was a delightful experience for families, with his main trick leaving both kids and parents scratching their heads and pondering, “How did he do that?”

For a magical and laughter-filled experience with the kiddos, Mario the Maker Magician’s show at The Garden of Unearthly Delights is a must see this Adelaide Fringe. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of a captivating journey that leaves a positive message lingering in the minds and hearts of all who attend.
