The Garden Patch: School Holiday Gardening Workshop at Burnside Village

Looking for a hands-on school holiday activity that gets the kids away from screens and into something they can grow?

The Garden Patch is a fun, creative gardening workshop running at Burnside Village’s Fashion Mall (outside Zara) until Thursday 2 October, and it’s perfect for little green thumbs aged 5 to 12.

In each 30-minute session, children get to decorate their own terracotta pot, plant seeds and take home a personalised mini garden they can nurture and watch grow over the weeks ahead. Seed varieties available include Basil, Dill, Chives and Daisy, subject to availability.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch from the sideline, and in fact it’s required, making it a lovely shared experience for the whole family.

Ticket quantities are limited and sessions are strictly for children aged 5 to 12, so be sure to book ahead to secure your spot. Please arrive at least five minutes before your session start time.
