The Amazing Maths Race at St Raphael’s School

St Raphael’s School is inviting Adelaide families to take part in The Amazing Maths Race, a free after-hours event where children and their parents or carers race around the school solving hands-on challenges together.

Across six themed stations, families will tackle activities focused on measurement, geometry, probability, data, patterns and problem-solving. No maths confidence required. The night is designed especially for families who have ever felt unsure about numbers.

The event is part of The Maths Movement, an initiative that helps families see numeracy as something they already use every day, whether they’re cooking, shopping, travelling or playing sport. The goal is to shift the idea that some people are just “not maths people.”

At the end of the night, every family takes home a Maths in Action booklet with activity ideas to continue the fun at home. Maths-themed prizes will also be on offer.

The event is open to all Adelaide families, whether or not children are enrolled at St Raphael’s.
