Finalists feature in Best in Show 2025: Australian Photographic Dog Prize exhibition at David Roche Gallery, Adelaide, from 30 August to 25 October 2025 and can enter up to four works across the categories of Dog portrait, Dogs and companions, Dogs in action, and Puppies.

Co-judges for Best in Show 2025 are Director of David Roche Gallery Robert Reason, and internationally renowned animal photographer and respected judge Alex Cearns OAM.

Commenting on her appointment she said: “I am honoured to serve as a co-judge for Best in Show 2025: Australian Photographic Dog Prize. It is a privilege to celebrate the artistry and passion of photographers of all levels who share my love for capturing the essence of dogs. I eagerly anticipate viewing the submitted images that embody the spirit of this prestigious award.”

To be eligible to enter, all colour photographs must be the photographer’s original artwork taken in Australia after 19 May 2023. Open to Australian citizens or a resident of Australia (here until the end of 2025).
