Dr Terence Sheppard Adelaide child psychologist gives special talk for parents
Dr Terence Sheppard, (B.Ec., B.A. Psych. (Hons), PhD), an Adelaide Paediatric psychologist and co-author of ‘Positive Parenting: a Guide to Raising Psychologically Healthy Children’ will be hosting a special talk on Saturday 19 October, at Mitchell Park Sports & Community Club. He will give his expert advice to parents on how to raise happy and resilient kids
The talk coincides with Children’s Week, (19-27 October) which is being celebrated across Australia, to shine a light on the health and well-being of children world-wide.
A veteran and well-known authority about mental health for children and teenagers, Dr Terence will address at the interactive talk key subjects such as how to raise happy and healthy kids, using positive parenting strategies.
Dr Terence will also take guests through his ‘10 Accomplishments of character’ which he believes is integral to a child as they are grow into adults, helping them to build fulfillment and character as they navigate the world. Other topics covered will include navigating digital screen time, parenting routines, school bullying and there will also be an opportunity for a Q&A.
