Minda Community Christmas Carols and Markets

After three long years, the annual Minda Community Christmas Carols and Markets event is back and promises to be better than ever to sprinkle some Christmas spirit over the community! On Saturday 2 December, more than 3500 are expected to pack out the Minda Brighton premises for an afternoon of live music and entertainment, Christmas carols, market stalls, food trucks, rides and amusements, face painting, a petting zoo and a visit from Santa and Mrs Claus in Santa’s cave. Minda Chief Executive David Panter says the extravaganza is a welcome addition to the calendar after being paused a few years ago. “This year, we’re bringing back the joy, the music, and the spirit of the season like never before. It’s a testament to the resilience and unity of our team and community that we can once again come together to celebrate this special time of year. It’s in these moments that the event reminds us of the importance of community and togetherness,” he says. Eventgoers can enjoy performances from 10th/27th Battalion Royal SA Regiment Band, Precizion Dance, Satin Sun, Australian Girls’ Choir, South Australian Public Primary School Choir and Tutti Choir, all welcomed by MCs Rosalie Panetta (from 2pm-5pm); and Jarrod Walsh (from 5pm-7pm). In addition to the spectacular performances, visitors can explore arts, crafts, jewellery and plant markets stalls from Another Pair Jewellery Co, Botonic Boutique, Brighton Candle Co, Rag Dolls by Kim, and stalls from Minda’s own TRAK Furniture, INC Café, Envirocare (Plants) and SA Learning Centre (Cert II and III courses). Food trucks available for the day include Adelaide Snow Cones, Boost Juice, Chipalicious, El Diablo Pizza, Poffertjes Pancakes, St Louis, Sweet and Sour Candy, Toly Vietnamese and Ye Olde Londoner.
