Adelaide Fringe: Sleeps Hill Tunnel

A vibrant tunnel illuminated with colorful lights, featuring a large projection screen at the end.
KIDDO reviewer, Katie, took her little one to Sleeps Hill Tunnel to explore the mesmerising projections and installations that share the tunnel’s history from its steam train era to mushroom farm years.

If you are looking for a unique and enchanting family-friendly event at the Adelaide Fringe, Sleeps Hill Tunnel is a must visit! From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported into a mesmerising world of lights, mirrors, and stunning visuals.

The neon mushroom sculptures and beautiful mural created an otherworldly glow, setting the perfect scene for adventure. One of the biggest highlights was the mirrored room, which felt like a hidden dance floor, our four-year-old gave us a great dance performance!

A child stands in front of a brightly glowing mushroom, captivated by its luminescent colors in a dark forest setting.

The time-lapse videos projected on the ceiling added another layer of magic, capturing the beauty of nature in a way that felt both calming and captivating.

This immersive experience is an absolute winner for families. Whether you are exploring the glowing displays, dancing under the reflections, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, there is something for everyone to enjoy. We highly recommend a visit!
