Adelaide Fringe review: Mario The Maker Magician

Mum-of-two and teacher, Dimi Galantomos, describes Mario the Magician as nothing short of incredible—captivating, impressive, and truly inspirational.

From the moment he arrived, he immersed himself in the crowd, connecting with each person and setting the tone for what was to come.

His performance was more than just a magic show—it carried a profound message of self-belief, kindness, and the importance of staying focused on your goals.

The show kicked off with a playful trick involving his shoelaces, effortlessly drawing the audience in with his charm. Mario’s interaction with the crowd was seamless; he checked in with them throughout the performance, encouraging participation with repeated phrases that everyone joyfully echoed.

He brought audience members on stage, keeping both children and adults laughing with his comedic timing and light-hearted humour.

The grand finale left the audience utterly astounded, questioning how and why the magic unfolded before their eyes. It was a truly unforgettable moment.

In all, Mario’s show ranks as one of the best family-friendly performances I’ve ever witnessed. I can’t stop raving about it—it’s an experience that will leave you in awe!

Mario The Maker Magician is at The Roundhouse at The Garden of Unearthly Delights during Adelaide Fringe until 23 March. Book tickets here.
