Adelaide Fringe review: Level Up

KIDDO reviewer, Kasia, took her kiddos to Level Up. There are still a couple of shows left this Fringe season, so don't miss out on this jaw-dropping performance!

Combining strength, agility, comedy, and a generous dose of silliness, Level Up delivers 55 minutes of captivating fun that’s perfect for the whole family.

From the moment the audience takes their seats, it’s clear this will be no ordinary performance. The stage features a giant claw machine, and the other equipment resembles the ultimate playground for both children and the young at heart.

The steel claw takes centre stage, with four performers executing daring and impressive feats high in the air. The audience is thrilled as they watch the performers being thrust into the air and performing acrobatics, all while maintaining control over the 250kg machine that manoeuvres them around the stage. But the show isn’t just about the machine; the performers themselves as they display strength and teamwork, even managing to contort their bodies through tennis racquets.

Level Up has a nice blend of incredible physicality and humour. The performers mix awkward dance moves and comedic acting with their impressive strength and agility, creating moments of random hilarity. It’s a show that keeps both parents and children entertained with its fast-paced, chaotic energy.

Level Up is a delightful show that balances skill, strength, and comedy, offering a fun outing for families. Whether you’re there for the impressive physical feats or the laughs, this show brings something for everyone.

What’s more, the food and beverage options at Fool’s Paradise are incredible for a pre or post-show feed! Think burgers, burritos, fried chicken, and make sure you try The Fringe Gin Fizz!

KIDDO Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
