Outperforming 49 other bakeries from across the nation, Banana Boogie Bakery was declared The Official Winner of the 2024 Australia’s Best Sausage Roll in a competition organised by the Baking Association of Australia.
The announcement took place at the Marion Hotel, where judges had the enjoyable task of tasting over 274 products to crown the ultimate champions. The judges were full of praise for the bakery’s sausage rolls, and it’s no surprise that the locals around Banana Boogie Bakery have been trying to keep this gem a secret!
“They have done it again!!!,” the Baking Association of Australia shared in a Facebook post, “Congratulations to the Official Winners of Australia’s Best Sausage Roll. Banana Boogie Bakery in Belair SA.”
The team at Banana Boogie are seasoned winners. With previous accolades like Best Vanilla Slice in the state, Best Meat Pie in the country, and Best Hot Cross Bun, this bakery has firmly established itself as a favourite among locals and beyond.
“What an amazing achievement by the Banana Boogie bakers on the weekend,” they shared their win on Instagram, “Along with taking out best sausage roll in Australia for the second year in a row, they also won several categories at the state baking competition.”
