Get your raclette on at the Raclette Igloo Experience

Raclette Igloo Experience
Calling all cheese enthusiasts – Adelaide's getting a taste of the French Alps this May, and it's not your average cheese platter.

The Raclette Igloo Experience is popping up at Festival Plaza from May 10th to June 9th, offering a unique and delicious way to spend an evening with friends or family.

Think cozy igloos (named after fancy French ski resorts, no less!), complete with “falling snow” and twinkling fairy lights to set the mood. Imagine digging into a feast fit for a cheese queen (or king!), with mountains (okay, maybe a generous serving) of melted Raclette cheese just waiting to be scraped onto your plate.

But the cheesy goodness doesn’t stop there! There’ll be a selection of cured meats, fluffy potatoes, tangy pickles, and cornichons to keep your taste buds happy. To warm you up from the inside out (it is May, after all!), a glass of mulled wine (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be included for each guest. And for those who want to elevate the experience, each igloo has a mini bar stocked with French wines and other beverages (for purchase).

The fun doesn’t end after the cheese coma sets in (we’ve all been there!). Each igloo has its own private fire pit, perfect for roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the Adelaide sky. The crackling warmth of the fire creates the perfect backdrop for sharing stories and laughter.

Tickets are selling fast, so gather your cheese-loving crew (igloos seat 6 to 8 family members) and book your spot. This is one cheesy adventure you won’t want to miss – it’ll brie a gouda time for all!

My saving grace? The bento box.
