Looking for the hottest line up of family friendly events this summer? Well, you’re in luck! The City of West Torrens is hosting its popular Summer Festival again in 2022 and this year five of the six events in the program will be held outdoors within the spacious surrounds of Kings Reserve.
What’s on at the Summer Festival 2022
Head along for family-friendly films under the stars on the giant ten metre outdoor cinema screen.
Roll out your blanket and tuck into a home-packed picnic, or choose a meal from Adelaide’s best food trucks.
Let the kids enjoy all the free fun on offer while you soak up the last rays of the day to a live soundtrack of smooth tunes by local musicians.
And for the final event, a Summer Block Party at Bloom in Thebarton that promises to be a great day of live music, cocktail capers and food trucks.

Saturday 15 January – Open Air Cinema
Join the Summer Festival for a night of family-friendly film under the stars with Trolls World Tour (PG) screening on the giant ten metre outdoor cinema screen.

Before the movie starts, let the kids enjoy all the free fun on offer while you soak up the last rays of the day to a live soundtrack of smooth tunes by local musicians.

Saturday 22 January – Open Air Cinema
Bugs Bunny and LeBron James shooting hoops? This you have to see!
Round up the kids or your best buddies for an evening of outdoor movie magic as the Summer Festival presents Space Jam – A New Legacy (PG) on a mega ten metre cinema screen.
BYO your own picnic or grab a delicious dinner from our onsite food trucks.
Arrive on time to enjoy pre-screening entertainment of live local music and free activities for the kids.

Saturday 29 January – Touch-a-Truck
Are your kids fascinated by big vehicles?
Well don’t miss, Biggers! – The Summer Festival version of the popular Touch-a-Truck carnival featuring Monster Patrol and Buster from Gilbert Racing!
Children of all ages can explore, climb and touch a bunch of different vehicles, and meet the amazing people who drive them.
If art, craft, magic or games are more your kids’ jam, there’s lots of other activities to keep them entertained while you enjoy an evening of live and local music.

Saturday 5 February – Open Air Cinema
Join the Summer Festival for one last sunset screening as they present the prehistoric family adventure, The Croods – A New Age (PG).
Grab a spot in front of the giant ten metre cinema screen, roll out your blanket and dig into a picnic from home or yummy treats from our onsite food trucks.
Pre-movie, a program of free entertainment will keep the kids amused while you treat your ears to live tunes performed by some of Adelaide’s top musicians.

Saturday 12 February – Fork on The Road presents The King’s Fork
It’s back! One of Adelaide’s favourite food festivals, The King’s Fork, returns to Kings Reserve!
Lie back on your favourite picnic blanket or get comfy in a folding chair and indulge in an evening of fabulous feasting with friends and family.
With more than 30 of Adelaide’s best food trucks onsite, you can explore the world one dish at a time. There will also be a selection of lip-smacking craft beverages on offer (no BYO alcohol permitted).
Enjoy live performances by award-winning local musicians and get the kids involved in some of our many free activities including The Amazing Drumming Monkeys, Face Painters Ink and Nylon Zoo.
Sunday 13 February – Bloom Summer Block Party
The best of the west! A day of live music, cocktail capers and food trucks at Bloom.
