An intimate small group Gin Blending Experience at the distillery. Choose from over 22 distilled botanicals to create your own unique blend of Gins to take home. The experience starts with a Gin Tasting Flight, followed by a talk from one of the Ambleside Distillers about the notable botanicals they use in their own Gins. You will then be able to meet ‘Doug’, the Australian made copper still and hear about the distillation process. To finish, you will be creating and blending your own personal Gins, while Ambleside distillers guide you through and help you to create gin’s like no other. Participants will receive 2 x 200ml bottles of Gin.

Ride the Cockle Train
Choo Choo Choose a coastal adventure with Dad and ride the Cockle Train on Father’s Day on Adelaide’s beautiful coastline.
The Cockle Train is based in Goolwa and commences its run each day at Goolwa station, in the historic Wharf Precinct alongside the River Murray. After crossing the main Goolwa to Victor road the line heads off across the plains to Middleton, picking up or dropping off passengers on request, and then to Port Elliot where it reaches the Encounter Bay coast.
After leaving Port Elliot the train climbs to the top of the coastal cliffs and passengers then experience some of the most picturesque coastal scenery on the Fleurieu Peninsula, with nothing separating you from the beach below and a perfect view of the Southern Ocean.
After a 30 minute journey the train edges into Victor Harbor station, right in the centre of the town and surrounded with its iconic pine trees. Here, the locomotive is detached from the carriages and turned on a specially retained 30m long electric turntable before rejoining the carriages for the return journey to Goolwa.
The Cockle Train is running between 10am and 4:15pm on Father’s Day
