The Village Co. Mothers Day appeal

This Mother's Day, you can help The Village Co. care for 1000 mums who access their services each year. Some need the hospital bags, others need maternity clothes, some need education and support. For every mum in need, The Village Co. are on call, working with hospitals, midwives, social workers and community service providers, ready to help any way they can. Your donation could make a big difference in a new mums' life.

This Mother’s Day The Village Co. is asking you to stand up ‘for every mum’. Because every mum deserves to be supported and cared for when giving birth, regardless of their background or disadvantage.

Many South Australian women do not have access to basic items needed for themselves or their baby, during and after birth.

The Village Co provides this practical support to mums through their hospital bags. Each bag is distributed by nurses, midwives and other professionals and comes with essential items for babies and mums, like nappies, wipes, baby clothes, breast pads, deodorant, sanitary pads, shampoo, conditioner and more. Also included is a breast pump, along with educational and support material to help new mums.

For any mums who are sadly leaving the hospital empty-handed, The Village Co provide specials bags filled with goods just for mum.

At the heart of everything The Village Co does, is that no new mum would feel alone or unsupported.
