The South Australian Children’s Ballet Company is turning 40, and they’re celebrating in style with a double bill of reimagined works from the company’s beloved repertoire. Running 1-3 October 2026 at The Goodwood Institute in Goodwood, this milestone season brings together whimsy, artistry and powerful storytelling for audiences of all ages.
Little Circus
Step into a whimsical French village where excitement fills the air. The mademoiselles, accompanied by their chaperone, arrive at the Little Circus for an afternoon of wonder. A magician dazzles with clever tricks, tight-rope walkers and acrobats captivate with breathtaking skill, clowns bring joyful mischief, musicians serenade the crowd, and fortune tellers whisper glimpses of the future.

Impact
The second work turns its gaze closer to home. Over the past five years, South Australia has felt the force of unpredictable weather: bushfires, sand erosion, drought and floods. Impact explores these environmental shifts through powerful choreography, reflecting resilience, fragility and the shared responsibility we hold for our landscape.
It’s moving, atmospheric and deeply relevant. A work that speaks meaningfully to the present while showcasing the remarkable talent of these young dancers.
