Oz Comic-Con returns to the Adelaide Showgrounds on 30–31 May 2026, with celebrity guest Gordon Cormier, the Kids Cosplay Parade, free gaming zones, Artist Alley and two days of pop culture fun for the whole family.

Adelaide’s biggest pop culture celebration is returning to the Adelaide Showgrounds on 30–31 May 2026, and Oz Comic-Con is bringing two full days of fandom, cosplay, gaming, panels, and creativity for the whole family.

Headlining the weekend is Gordon Cormier, the young actor who has captured hearts worldwide as Aang in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Gordon will be appearing across both days for Q&A panels and fan meet-and-greet sessions, including autographs and photo opportunities. For Avatar fans young and old, this is a rare chance to meet the face of one of the most beloved franchises of a generation.

Something for every fan

The event is built for fans of all ages and interests. Whether your kids are into cosplay, gaming, comics, or just love dressing up as their favourite characters, there is plenty to dive into across the weekend.

Cosplay is front and centre at Oz Comic-Con Adelaide. The Australian Championships of Cosplay takes the main stage, alongside a Cosplay Competition for enthusiastic crafters and the ever-popular Kids Cosplay Parade, where little ones can take to the stage on their own, with friends, or with a guardian by their side. Local cosplay photographers will also be on hand at Cosplay Central throughout the weekend, offering complimentary photo sessions.

For families who love gaming, the Australian Esports League is bringing a free-play gaming zone and esports tournaments, while the Tabletop Gaming Library offers access to more than 40 games including Ticket to Ride, Catan, and Pandemic. There will also be learn-to-play sessions for Magic: The Gathering and tabletop RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, guided by local groups throughout the weekend.

Artist Alley is a highlight for creative kids and teens, with original and fan art, commissions, graphic novels, prints, and handmade creations from Australian illustrators and pop culture artists. It is a genuinely great place to discover local talent and pick up something one-of-a-kind.

Other free activities include Oz Comic-Con Bingo and the Quokka Quest Scavenger Hunt, both of which are a fun way to explore the full show floor, plus the Scribble Wall and a Just Dance stage open for free play all weekend.

Panels and workshops

The Workshop and Entertainment Stage hosts community-run panels, live performances, and lip sync battles across both days. These are open sessions run by passionate fans on topics they love, so expect plenty of energy and enthusiasm. The Main Stage hosts Q&As with film and television guests, including Gordon Cormier.
