Adelaide children aged 3 to 17 who are receiving hospital care are showcasing their artwork in a free five-month exhibition at Credit Union SA's King William Street headquarters, running from 29 May to 20 October 2026.

Young artists aged 3 to 17 are taking centre stage this month, with the return of the My Art, My SA exhibition at Credit Union SA’s Adelaide CBD headquarters.

Now in its second year, the exhibition is a partnership between Credit Union SA (CUSA) and Hospital School SA (HSSA), a program that provides personalised learning for children and young people receiving care at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, and Lyell McEwin Hospital.

Running from 29 May to 20 October 2026 at Level 3 Foyer, 400 King William Street, the free exhibition is open to the public Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

This year’s theme is maps, with students exploring connection to place and the meaning of home. HSSA Principal Matthew McCurry says the theme resonates deeply with students who are navigating time away from their usual environments.

“We are excited to see our educators and students bring this year’s theme of maps to life, providing connection to a location that feels like home, regardless of where they may be,” he said.

Hospital School SA has been supporting young learners within the South Australian hospital system for over 90 years. Its campuses focus on keeping children connected to education during what can be a challenging and uncertain time.

CUSA CEO Todd Roberts says the partnership reflects the credit union’s commitment to the broader South Australian community.

“The team behind Hospital School SA does a sensational job of continuing normalcy for their students who are facing health challenges and artwork is an important creative outlet for these students,” he said.

Last year’s inaugural exhibition was a hit, and CUSA’s support of the school extends beyond the gallery walls. In 2024, the organisation funded the first ever outdoor learning space in the 49-year history of the Flinders Medical Centre campus, transforming an unused section of the hospital into an area for learning, play, and wellbeing.

My Art, My SA is a lovely reminder that creativity and learning don’t stop at the hospital door, and Adelaide families are warmly invited to visit and celebrate the work of these remarkable young artists.
