Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has zoomed into cinemas, and it’s packed with everything we love about the blue blur—and more! After the huge success of the first two films, the third movie takes the action, fun, and laughs to new heights.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 picks up right where the second film left off, with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all working together to defeat Dr Robotnik. But this time, there’s a big new twist: the mysterious and powerful Shadow the Hedgehog makes his debut! For fans who know the games, Shadow is a super-fast hedgehog with a bit of an attitude. The film does a brilliant job of introducing him as both a potential hero and a rival to Sonic, which adds some serious tension to the story.

As always, the action is non-stop. Sonic’s speed is showcased in some incredible chase scenes and high-flying stunts that will have you on the edge of your seat. From the iconic loop-de-loops to mind-blowing special effects, the movie feels like you’re jumping right into the video game world. The filmmakers have really outdone themselves with the visuals, making sure everything is as fast and exciting as Sonic himself.

The team of characters is one of the best parts of this film. Ben Schwartz is fantastic as Sonic, bringing the right mix of humour, energy, and heart. Tails (voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey) is as lovable as ever, and Knuckles (Idris Elba) adds a new layer of toughness and comedy to the group. Jim Carrey also returns as Dr Robotnik, and once again, he’s hilarious as the over-the-top villain, making sure the film stays light-hearted and fun.

What really makes Sonic the Hedgehog 3 stand out is how it balances action with heart. Sonic’s journey is about more than just running fast—it’s about teamwork, friendship, and learning to trust others. There are plenty of emotional moments that will make you smile, and some that might even make you cheer for Sonic’s growth as a hero.

With its mix of thrilling action, funny moments, and unforgettable characters, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a film that will delight both long-time fans and new viewers. Whether you’ve been following Sonic since the 1990s or just discovered his world in the movies, this adventure is one you won’t want to miss these school holidays.
