Moonlight Cinema is celebrating its 30th birthday, and the summer fun is bigger than ever! Starting 27 November 2025, families across Australia can enjoy brand-new movies, Christmas favourites, and classic hits under the stars.

Tickets for the November and December sessions of Moonlight Cinema presented by Youi are available online now.

A summer tradition for 30 years

Since its very first screening of Pulp Fiction back in 1995, Moonlight Cinema has become an Aussie summer favourite. More than 5 million people have relaxed on picnic rugs or bean bags to watch movies outdoors. Over the years, the outdoor cinema has played host to:

First dates and romantic proposals
Fun celebrity sightings like Margot Robbie and Chris Hemsworth
Pampered pups chilling on their own bean bags!

Some of the most-watched films at Moonlight Cinema include Love Actually, Dirty Dancing, and 10 Things I Hate About You.

The People’s Program: You vote; they screen!

In honour of the big 3-0, this year’s season includes The People’s Program, where movie fans get to vote for what plays on the big screen. The top-voted films in each city will be shown from January to March 2026, making it a summer of shared movie magic.

Everyone who votes gets 30% off General Admission tickets and goes into the draw to win cool prizes—including a Double Season Pass! Kids and families can vote for nostalgic favourites and feel-good classics like Shrek, Dirty Dancing, The Castle, and Jurassic Park.

Singapore Airlines Gold Grass – The VIP experience! Best seats, fast entry, and food and drinks delivered to your chair.
