It’s Time to Show Off

Do you have a handsome hamster, gorgeous goat, awesome alpaca or a pretty pig? Are you the best baker or a great grape grower? Perhaps you’re a perfect painter, clever cook or benchmark brewer. Whether you’re artistic, creative, talented or have the greatest pet in the world, the Royal Adelaide Show has a myriad of competitions to suit anyone and everyone, big and small!

In 2016 a record of 33,784 entries were received in 62 competitive sections for the Royal Adelaide Show and the Royal Adelaide Wine Show. On top of this 17,000 prize ribbons and sashes were awarded. Who doesn’t like a prize ribbon? It’s time to showcase your talent and be 1 of these 17,000 happy winners.

There are lots of options for mini competitors! The Junior Arts, Craft & Design, Girl Guides, Scouts and Home Economics all welcome thousands of kids each year! It’s a fantastic way to build confidence, encourage and reward little ones for their hard work.

Or maybe you just want to be one of the spectators that devours your own portion of the 35,000 cappuccinos, 70,000 buckets of hot chips and 12,000 donuts consumed by the half a million people who visit the show each year. Either way you and the kids are in for a blast!
