Floating cinema coming to Adelaide in November

A floating boat cinema is coming to the River Torrens this November, so families and groups can drop anchor and immerse themselves in a physically distant cinema experience with a twist!

A floating boat cinema is coming to the River Torrens this November, so families and groups can drop anchor and immerse themselves in a physically distant cinema experience with a twist.

The unique ‘cinema’ will be made up of 12 to 24 mini boats, fitting up to 8 people each, and the event will run for a week from November 4 this year.

Tickets will require you to purchase the whole boat to ensure seating with friends and family only, and to allow for social distancing on and between boats.

The team behind the cinema are promising a mix of golden oldies and new releases but the full line up will be announced when tickets go on sail (…pun intended). Just taking a punt, but Titanic might be fun…lol! 

Movie goers will receive free popcorn and other movie snacks and drinks will be available to purchase before you cast off.
