As the name suggests, DinoFest is all about the dinosaurs, and specifically, the fearsome Tyrannosaurs. This kid-friendly event has been a massive hit in botanic gardens throughout New Zealand, and now it’s making its Australian debut in Adelaide this autumn.
At DinoFest, you and your family will have the chance to get up close and personal with real-life moving dinosaurs. You’ll be guided by an expert DinoFest ranger who will take you on a journey through the gardens to learn about how Tyrannosaurs grew from small dog-sized dinosaurs to become the world’s most fearsome predator.
As you travel along the DinoTrail, set in the beautiful Australian forest, you’ll come face to face with over 30 lifelike dinosaurs, including a friendly Tyrannosaurus Rex, walking Triceratops, Carnotaurus, and lots of cute baby dinosaurs. There’s even a special VIP mystery guest dinosaur making her first DinoFest appearance right here in Adelaide!
But that’s not all – there will be plenty of other dino-themed activities to keep you entertained, including a Dino Dig, arts and crafts, and a unique ‘feel a fossil’ experience with real dinosaur bones. You’ll also get to learn more about the prehistoric ferns, cycads, and conifer trees whose descendants still grow in the garden today.
DinoFest promises to be a magical and unique experience that your family will never forget. So grab your little ones, pack a picnic, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure through the lost world of the dinosaurs. With sold-out shows across New Zealand, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to experience the wonder and magic of DinoFest right here in Adelaide.
