Does your child spend more time upside down than right way up? Are they the one scaling the furniture, turning the hallway into a balance beam and treating the couch like a crash mat? If this sounds familiar, the Cirkidz Spring School Holiday Program might be exactly what your little acrobat needs.
Running across two weeks of the spring school holidays, this program brings all the thrills of circus to the SA Circus Centre in Bowden. It’s Adelaide’s dedicated circus facility, purpose-built for young people to swing, flip, climb and tumble in a safe and fully-equipped space.

What’s on offer
The spring program is packed with options for kids aged 5-12, whether they’re complete beginners or budding circus stars. Sessions include trapeze and aerial skills, acrobatics and tumbling, classic circus tricks, and Katapult, which blends circus with parkour for kids aged 8-12 who love a physical challenge.
Every session is led by friendly and experienced trainers who are genuinely good at making kids feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door. No prior experience is needed, and there’s no pressure to be perfect. It’s all about having a go, getting creative with movement and discovering what your body can do.

More than cool tricks
Sure, your child will come home buzzing about the tricks they’ve learned (expect demonstrations on demand). But Cirkidz is about more than mastering a cartwheel or hanging upside down on a trapeze.
Circus training builds curiosity, creativity and resilience. It encourages kids to take safe risks, work through challenges and surprise themselves with what they can achieve. There’s problem-solving, teamwork and plenty of laughter along the way. It’s the kind of activity that builds confidence in a way that sticks.
For kids who don’t quite fit the traditional team sport mould, or who simply want to try something different, circus offers a refreshing alternative. It celebrates individuality and meets children where they are, whether they’re cautious first-timers or fearless flippers.
