Charity Spot: Become a camp mentor with Puddle Jumpers

A group of people wearing colorful raincoats stands together, smiling under a cloudy sky.
Help create a place where kids can just be kids. Puddle Jumpers is on the lookout for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable people to become camp mentors, and help make a real difference in the lives of children and young people doing it tough.

The not-for-profit organisation runs fun-filled camps during the school holidays, offering kids in out-of-home care or vulnerable situations a safe space to belong, grow, and just be themselves.

Camp mentors are everyday people with big hearts, no formal qualifications needed! With full training and ongoing support, including child-safe screening and guidance from experienced leaders, mentors are equipped to help kids feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

From outdoor adventures to quiet moments and everything in between, camps are packed with the kind of connection and joy that can leave a lifelong impact. For many children, this is one of the few places they feel truly safe.

If you know someone who’d love to give their time to something truly meaningful, becoming a Puddle Jumpers mentor might be the perfect fit. They might go in hoping to change someone else’s life, but chances are, their own will be changed too.
