Boo at the Zoo is back for a scare!

Calling all little witches, wizards, monsters and mini mummies – Boo at the Zoo is creeping back into Adelaide Zoo this Halloween for a fang-tastic family night out!

Pop on your most magical or spooky costume, gather your ghostly gang, and get ready for an evening packed with fun, frights and sweet delights.

Follow the trick-or-treat trail and collect yummy goodies from local legends. Snap some spooky selfies with Halloween-themed decorations scattered throughout the zoo. Enjoy eerie entertainment the whole family will love – no jump scares, just heaps of frightfully good fun! Perfect for kids of all ages, Boo at the Zoo is a safe and exciting way to celebrate Halloween under the stars.


Trick or Treat?

As soon as you arrive, you’ll be handed your very own Treat Bag – and don’t worry, Mum and Dad get one too!
Then it’s off to the treat stations dotted around the zoo to fill your bags with scrumptious goodies from local legends.
No tricks here – just sweet, sweet treats!

Spooky songs & monster moves

Head to the Central Lawns for live performances that’ll have you singing, dancing and giggling with ghoulish glee!
Bring your best monster moves and get ready to boogie under the stars.


Relaxed Boo at the Zoo

When: Friday, 31 October 2025 | 3pm–4pm

This special early session is perfect for little ghosts and goblins who prefer things a bit quieter.

The Relaxed Boo at the Zoo experience is designed for children and families who benefit from a low-sensory environment.

What to expect:

  • An earlier entry time

  • Smaller crowds

  • Softer sounds and fewer surprises

  • All the same tasty treats and spooky fun!

 

Families are welcome to stay on after 4pm when the zoo opens to the full crowd – just be aware it might get a bit louder and busier.
