Running from Saturday 26 September to Friday 9 October, this year’s lineup is bursting with hands-on cooking classes, creative workshops and the much-loved Market Trail.

Whether your little ones are budding chefs, curious artists or simply love wandering through the colourful stalls, there’s plenty to keep them busy these holidays.

Ticketed activities

Market Trail

The beloved Market Trail returns, inviting young foodies to explore the Market through seasonal spring produce. Grab a bag and trail map, then set off on a self-guided adventure to ten pit stops around the Market. Sessions run at 9am and 2pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 29 September to 9 October. Tickets are $20 per child, and bookings are essential. Walk-in tickets are no longer offered to minimise disappointment on the day, but pre-booked allocations have been increased to accommodate more families.

Little Market Chefs

At Adelaide Central Market, cooking seasonally from the ground up is celebrated. In these hands-on classes, your little ones will create a simple, delicious dish using ingredients sourced directly from Market traders, then feast on what they’ve made together. Sessions run at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 29 September to 8 October. Tickets are $25 per child, and bookings are essential.
