Aussie mum’s gift-wrapping hack goes viral

Gift wrapping invention, Tape Zoomie.
Every parent knows the Christmas Eve struggle — a mountain of gifts, sticky tape that disappears every two seconds, and wrapping paper chaos! For Aussie mum Inge Heath, that was her reality too… until one night changed everything. Check out Inge's gift-wrapping hack!

Inge started cutting little strips of tape and lining them up along the table — but her husband was using them faster than she could cut them!

“That’s when I realised, I AM the tape dispenser,” she laughs.

That moment sparked a bright idea — what if there was a tool that could cut lots of tape strips quickly? After searching online for hours, Inge discovered nothing like that existed.

“I certainly didn’t plan on ‘inventing’ something or starting a business. I just wanted to solve a problem that truly frustrated me, so I started with a rough sketch and thought, ‘this could work’. Nothing could prepare me for the whirlwind ahead.”

The invention that changed everything

Three years later, in November 2024, Inge launched Tape Zoomie — a patent-pending tape dispenser that cuts 18 strips of tape in less than 10 seconds!

It’s blade-free, extendable, compact, and safe for kids to use — perfect for family craft time or wrapping presents together.

Unlike normal dispensers, Tape Zoomie works with all kinds of tape — from sticky and double-sided to washi and even magnetic tape!

At first, Inge sold Tape Zoomie to local mums from her car during school pick-up.

From school pick-up to worldwide fame

One night, Inge shared a quick TikTok video of Tape Zoomie in action — and the next morning, her phone was blowing up!

Now, Tape Zoomie is sold in 12 countries, has been featured as Amazon’s Choice, and is on track to make $500,000 in just over a year!

“The next day, I woke up to half a million views on TikTok and by that afternoon, it reached over a million views, eventually reaching over six million. Little did I know that the Instagram post also started going viral.”

It’s even caught the eye of Shark Tank US — and fans around the world, from florists and teachers to crafters and parents, are loving it.

“Long term, my goal is to make Tape Zoomie a household name for stress-free and fast gift-wrapping,” Inge says.

With her clever invention and unstoppable Christmas spirit, it looks like this Aussie mum is wrapping up success — one tape strip at a time!
