Kids go free at Adelaide Zoo this August for the pandas’ birthdays

Gather your cubs and head to Adelaide Zoo this August, where kids aged 4–14 can visit for free to celebrate the Giant Pandas’ birthdays. Yi Lan turns five on 10 August, and Xing Qiu marks his sixth birthday on 29 September.

Throughout the month, you can catch birthday-themed enrichment activities and special keeper talks, plus watch the pandas enjoying their favourite treats. It’s a great excuse to explore the zoo’s 200-plus species and try the new Wild Explore VR Experience in the Panda Shop.

Free child tickets are limited to three per adult and are valid from 1–31 August 2026. Book online or grab your tickets at the gate on the day.
