Cedarwood Road natural skincare created by a mum for sensitive skin

Rochell Toia created Cedarwood Road, a 100 per cent natural skincare range, after watching nature heal her daughters' eczema on a family camping trip.

When Melbourne mum of three Rochell Toia watched her seven-month-old daughter’s eczema disappear during a family camping trip, she couldn’t help but wonder what had made the difference.

After trying various creams without lasting success, it was the sunshine, fresh air and time spent in nature that seemed to calm her little one’s skin. The experience stayed with Rochell for years.

Then, when another of her daughters developed severe eczema as a teenager, that memory came flooding back.

“I thought, what if I could bottle the goodness of nature?” Rochell says.

That simple question sparked the beginning of Cedarwood Road, an Australian skincare brand creating handcrafted soaps, body butters and oils made with 100% natural ingredients.

At the time, Rochell was working in aviation while making skincare products as a hobby. Drawing on her Diploma of Beauty Therapy and a long-held passion for natural skincare, she began experimenting with recipes designed to nourish sensitive skin.

The results were remarkable. Within weeks of using the products, her daughter’s eczema had cleared and never returned.

Encouraged by family and friends, Rochell officially launched Cedarwood Road in 2023. Just over a year later, she made the leap from her 12-year aviation career to focus on the growing business full-time.

Cedarwood Road Rose Geranium natural body butter and Sweet Orange wellness oil, with a rose quartz crystal roll-on, styled on dried grass with baby's breath flowers.

Today, every Cedarwood Road product is handcrafted in small batches using natural oils, butters, botanicals and premium essential oils. Unlike many skincare products, the range contains no water, preservatives or fillers, creating rich, concentrated formulas that are especially welcome during the cooler months when skin tends to become dry.

The collection includes soaps, body butters, body oils, crystal essential oil roll-ons and beautifully presented gift packs, with the award-winning Rose Geranium Butter among its most popular products.

Designed for the whole family, Cedarwood Road is ideal for anyone looking for a more natural approach to skincare, particularly those with sensitive skin or conditions such as eczema.

What began as one mum’s determination to help her daughter has grown into a flourishing Australian business, with Cedarwood Road now stocked in stores across the country and plans for continued expansion.
