Families in Sheidow Park have a brand new place to play, with the City of Marion completing a major upgrade of the playground at Southbank Boulevard Reserve.
The revamped space features a large play structure with three slides, multiple climbing opportunities, bridge crossings, a junior shop front and interactive play panels. A basket swing, strap swing, toddler swing, seesaw and wheelchair-accessible trampoline have also been added, making the playground suitable for children of all ages and abilities.

An accessible loop path for junior scooters and trikes winds through the space, while new garden beds, tree planting, seating, a drink fountain and a picnic table with games round out the family-friendly upgrade.
The fenced playground area has been significantly expanded and includes a new irrigated grass area within the enclosure.
The upgrade forms part of the City of Marion’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality playgrounds across the area.
